Friday Frustrations: Arrogant Collection Representative*

I got the rudest telephone call earlier this week.marah It was about my over due credit card payment, it’s over due because I haven’t gotten my bill for 5 months now, and although I keep reporting that I haven’t gotten any mail, they still charge me late fees and interest fees. I know I owe you money, but can you not make me feel inferior? It’s not like I don’t pay, and I am fully aware of how much I owe you. You don’t need to be all snotty about it and yell at me over the phone.marah You can’t charge me late fees, it’s not my fault I don’t get my bill, and when I ask for a rebate, you have to give it to me. That’s my right! If I get my bill, I pay on time, and my record shows it! I can’t believe you have the nerve to call me and tell me you’re going to forward my account to the legal department just because I haven’t made a payment, how can I when I have no bill??? Stupid!marah I know it’s your job, but at least you can try to be nice, it’s not like I’m not going to pay, all I ask is that I get my bill and I get it on time. I’d be nicer if you were nicer. Don’t hold me liable for any bill that I don’t get, that’s not my fault. And it’s not my fault you don’t know what a paypal is, yes, it’s a paypal, not fatal, P-A-Y-P-A-L. And I know I can check my balance online and all that, I just choose not to, it’s your job to send me the bill, why do I have to go out of my way to check my balance online when I know I’m supposed to get a bill anyway?marah D-U-H! I will pay my balance and then you can kiss my arse!marah

  3. I didn't have anything to vent this friday.. well, i do but just very minor. Not worthy to be called frustrations! LOL! But seriously, that person was just plain rude. Yeah, it's his job to remind you of payment but that doesn't give him the right to be rude. >:o >:o

  8. There are so many rude people in the universe. What you can do is just to be assertive. State your case, especially if you’re right and demand courtesy , in a nice and polite manner. If they don’t budge, tell them directly that their attitude towards you is not helping anything to resolve the matter. I have encountered a lot of them but I know how to act accordingly because by nature, I am very assertive and I don’t want anyone to treat me that way no matter what, even if I haven’t paid my dues.
