Ha! I knew the title would intrigue you!
Anyway, I am sorry to disappoint you, but this post is not about a date with the actual Edward Cullen
or Robert Pattinson
for that matter, notice the capitalized MY on the title?
In as much as I love Edward Cullen, the character and not Robert Pattinson, as I have mentioned before,
I don’t think I would actually want to be with someone who was actually perfect. I think that it would be boring, so it’s nice to have an Edward and a Jacob in one person, don’t you agree?
Anyway, I think I hit the jackpot, because MY B, is kinda like Edward in some ways and in some ways he is like Jacob. As you all know, I am crazy for Taylor Lautner
, and just a little for Jacob Black
the character. Hehe.
So on to the date itself. I met B in the mall where he works as a Branch Marketing Manager, we also had dinner in one of the restaurants there, and because Valentine’s day is not the only holiday this week, our dinner was inspired by the Chinese New Year so we had dinner in Mann Hann, a chinese restaurant. Here are a couple of photos, which were taken with my very sturdy Nokia 6600 which BTW survived another dip in liquid, this time in Lucas’ mango juice, earlier that day, because B left his newly bought Nikon D3000, more on that in another post, in the car.
Sweet & Sour Pork on Rice for me
Beef Brisket on Rice for B
Chicken Feet, my favorite!
Duck Misua Soup
The sweet and sour pork was okay, the chicken feet was awesome!
I just love chicken feet, they are spicy and sweet at the same time and, and… Just take my word for it, it was awesome!
B said he’s food was fine, although we both agree that we’ve had better. I didn’t have any of the duck misua soup though, the duck just freaked me out a bit, I’ve never had duck, unless you count eating Balut
, but that’s not even considered a duck yet, and this one was huge!
After dinner we went to a lounge, where a live band played and the ambiance was cozy and comfortable, it was called The Fireplace and is in a place called Villa Cordillera. I had this brilliant plan of drinking cocktails instead of the usual beer or tequila. I haven’t had a blue margarita since I was like 20, so I had that first, and I still love it! Then, I discovered that I absolutely don’t like Bloody Mary! It freaking tasted like ketchup with vinegar and crushed ice, eww! Absolutely disgusting! And then I had the Angel’s Kiss, which was basically, a shot of Bailey’s cream and brandy. The trick is to drink it all at once as a shot, because if you take small sips, all you’ll taste is the alcohol from the brandy, not a very pleasant taste, I tried to sip and then the alcohol taste overwhelmed me so I just took it straight, and it tasted so awesome that way! I love it!
Sorry for the awful picture, my phone’s battery died before we even got to the lounge, this was taken with B’s phone
Freakin’ Bloody Mary, Yech! A google picture because I forgot to take a picture of the actual drink I had..
This is just from google cause I forgot to take a picture of the Angel’s Kiss
So anyway, that’s when I had this feeling that I was on a date with Edward Cullen. I felt like I was in the scene where Bella and Edward had dinner for the first time at this restaurant
and the waitress was just oggling at Edward, it was like that with B, and it was like I was invisible, what was up with that? B didn’t notice but that waitress was so checking him out. And then there were these ladies seating at the table in front of us who kept looking at us and then they took a picture of B!
I mean, come on, he’s just a regular person, what is up with that?
It was funny because they were trying not to make it obvious that they were taking pictures of him, but come on, I wasn’t born yesterday and I’m not stupid and my friends and I used to do that too when we spotted a hottie back in the day, so please, I know! B said he didn’t notice but then he had this smirk on his face, so I know he noticed.
So anyway, it was pretty late and we still had to pick up the kids over at my uncle’s so we called it a night and went home.
Today, we spent the day with the kids, we went to the park and the mall and just ate and had fun and walked around.
B’s showing a bit more of Edward than Jacob these days, hmm… It must be because it’s Valentine’s Day and Edward is the romantic one. LOL.
Whoever’s character he takes on, whether Edward or Jacob, the most important thing is that he is uniquely MY B.
Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!
