ABOUT ME

Hello there!

First of all, thank you for taking the time to read this and welcome to my personal blog!

If you don’t know me yet, allow me to introduce myself, but please be warned, I tend to ramble a lot and I get lost in my writing and I hardly ever edit my blog posts because it’s the one time I can actually write whatever, you see, I’m a writer/editor and proofread and edit is what I do all day, so pardon me for — Damn, see I rambled on over there. Sorry! Getting back on track now!
My name is ANE. I also go by the name “A” in the blogosphere.😊 I’ve been in the online space since 2008, although on and off since 2014, because, well, life happened.😁

Prior to starting this blog, I wrote articles for several local publications about motherhood and general health care. I also kept a diary offline and wrote some stuff online through the social media network, Friendster. I know, it’s been that long!πŸ˜… I’ve always had a knack for writing, I don’t write poems or anything like that, I’m more of a story teller rather than a poet. I dream of becoming a novelist someday and perhaps write the next Twilight-like novels for the next generation of young adults. I’m a hard-core fanpire/twihard, just an FYI.😁
Anyway, my mom’s friend, shout out to Adventurous MG πŸ˜˜, told me I should start a blog and try and earn from my writing on my own terms, and the rest they say is, history.😊 I started this very blog in June 2008, just 4 months after giving birth to my son, Lucas. You can say he grew up on this blog because this blog is filled with stuff about him.😁 This was my first blog and it has gone through a few domain name changes, from latm.blogspot.com — because primarily the title of this blog was “Life According to Me”, so cheesy I know!πŸ˜‚ Then I decided to get my first domain but of course lifeaccordingtome.com was taken so I thought might as well just make it anefallarme.com. I would’ve kept it like that but then someone (it was “O”) said it seemed like I was being narcissistic and that domain would be better off as my portfolio for work rather than my personal blog, and I’m not a celebrity so why have it under my name and I was like, fine.πŸ˜– Then a blogger friend suggested I hold a domain naming poll, to ask help from my readers, yes cause by that time I was a blogging superstar πŸ˜‚, and so I did and that’s how I came up with diaryofane.com. That’s also the same time when I transferred to WordPress.org, so on top of the new domain, I also had a new blogging platform and blogging life was amazing. Then life got in the way — Lucas started school, I got sick, I learned how to drive, I crashed the car, I quit working full time, I started a business with my best friend — and my blogging career had to take a back seat. All of these events I wrote about on my blog, but when my domain and hosting expired, I lost everything I ever wrote on WordPress. So posts from 2011 to 2015 are gone!😩😒 I literally cried over that one.😒
Primarily this blog was a mixed bag sort of blog where I wrote about everything I could think of, and then my OCD kicked in and I decided to separate my blogs into different niches, so “A Network of Entertainment” was born, it’s spelled A-N-E, so maybe I am a little bit vain😝, I blogged about everything Hollywood on that blog, from movies to music to television shows and plays to scandalous gossip. Then I won 2 domains from online contests held by another blogger, shout out to Mommy Pehpot πŸ˜˜, and food blog “Milk, Cereals and Chips” (story of how it ended and its rebirth will be on EatsOA soon!) and fashion/beauty blog “Fashion. Beauty. Expert.” were born. Same thing happened to both blogs, unlike this blog and A.N.E., food and fashion blogs started on WordPress.org, so I never had a blogspot blog to fall back on should they ever go off the air, which is exactly what happened.😫 I still have the back ups though and it breaks my heart that I can’t transfer them over to blogspot.😒
So, I’m going back to my roots, and here we are. I’ve decided to stay on blogspot forever so I only have to pay for my domain, no more hosting. It was a lot easier blogging on WordPress for sure, because everything you needed to do was done for you by a plug in, where as on blogspot, you have to do it on your own, which has its own pros and cons, which I will blog about some other time.😁
And because I am going back to my roots, this blog will cover everything else that I can’t write over at EatsOA and over at A Network of Entertainment.πŸ˜„
I currently co-write a blog with my husband, known on this blog as B, because that’s what I call him, but ever since starting out a blog with him, he’s been known as “O”, for Omeng, in the blogosphere, so I shall refer to him as “O” on this blog from now on too. We blog about marriage and family life over at Opposites Attract and we write about our foodventures on our food blog, EatsOA.
I do hope you keep coming back to this blog so we can get to know each other more! If you leave me comments I will comment back on your blog, don’t forget to leave your link though.πŸ˜ƒ So, see you around!

Find me on:
